I love this as it is. The leaf at the top looks like the blade of a scythe and the rose’s stem looks like the handle – they appear to be almost connected to each other – if that makes sense (except the head of the rose is slightly in the way).
I like it. It looks as if the rose is a speared heart. And I like the way the skeleton almost seems to be rising out of the ground. It’s incredibly powerful and vivid.
